My Story
I’m a therapist who believes that growth often begins in the moments we feel most uncertain. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, focused on helping you make sense of your inner world and build a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Together, we’ll explore the parts of you that show up under stress—the anxious parts, the self-critical ones, and the ones that still carry old fears or expectations—and learn how to meet them with curiosity instead of judgment.
I specialize in helping people move from survival mode toward a life guided by values and self-trust. Whether we’re working through anxiety, relationship conflict, or a sense of “stuckness,” my goal is to help you find balance between acceptance and change—between being gentle with yourself and having the courage to try something new.
While Charlottesville has always been home, I spent several years in Boston and Pittsburgh before settling back in Virginia with my husband in 2019. I also worked as a Director of Counseling for an ed-tech startup, which gave me an enduring appreciation for corporate acronyms and the very real stress they create.
Outside of my work as a therapist, I’m often wrangling my two young children, spending time with horses, or finding joy in nature. I’m also a casual UVA basketball fan, a devoted Kindle reader, and frequently on the hunt for a great second-hand find.

During our initial sessions,
you can expect:
Our early sessions will be a mix of gentle exploration and getting to know your story. We’ll identify what’s bringing you in, the patterns you’d like to understand or shift, and what feels most urgent right now. I’ll ask questions to help us understand how your emotions, thoughts, and relationships interact, and we’ll begin identifying small, realistic goals.
I adapt my work to my client’s needs and preferences; some clients thrive with a focus on concrete skills, exercises, and reflections assigned outside of session, while others prefer a less structured approach.

You can expect warmth, curiosity, and an active partnership—where you set the pace, and we build a foundation of trust together. All parts of you are welcome here.
